The results of the paper are concerned with \[ x_n = A_nx_{n-1} ,\;n\geq 0\;,\quad \dim x=s \] and with the scalar linear difference equation \[ y_n = \sum_{j=n-s}^{n-1}B_{n,j}y_j ,\;n\geq 0. \] Some easily applicable sufficient conditions for \(p\)-summability of the solutions are obtained using the test Kummer convergence test and a recently introduced transformation of a higher order system into a first step recursion.
