In [Pac. J. Math. 83, 375--379 (1979; Zbl 0388.13001)], \textit{J. A. Huckaba} and \textit{J. M. Keller} introduced the following: a commutative ring \(R\) has property \((A)\) if every finitely generated ideal of \(R\) consisting entirely of zero divisors has a non zero annihilator. In the paper under review, the authors introduce strong property \((A)\) as follows: A ring \(R\) is called satisfying strong property \((A)\) if every finitely generated ideal of \(R\) which is generated by a finite number of zero-divisor elements of \(R\), has a non zero annihilator. They study the transfer of property \((A)\) and strong property \((A)\) in trivial ring extensions and amalgamated duplication of a ring along an ideal. In addition, the authors also exhibit a class of rings which satisfy property \((A)\) and do not satisfy strong property \((A)\).
