This paper deals with Haynes' version of the Duffin-Schaeffer conjecture for the \(p\)-adic numbers and with ``several results about an associated related but false conjecture, related to \(p\)-adic approximation in the spirit of Jarník and Lutz''. The attention is also given by the authors to a description of investigations which are related to the Duffin-Schaeffer conjecture. The novelty of this conjecture and a classical set in studying the metric theory of Diophantine approximations are described. The \(p\)-adic Diophantine approximation and the \(p\)-adic Duffin-Schaeffer conjecture are briefly discussed.
