In this paper, building on the results of [J. Am. Math. Soc. 28, No. 3, 711--744 (2015; Zbl 1326.14032); Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 49, No. 1, 169--212 (2016; Zbl 1346.14040)], the authors prove many of the fundamental results of the minimal model program for Kawamata log terminal threefolds over an algebraically closed field of characteristic \(p>5\). In particular they prove the cone theorem, the base point free theorem, the contraction theorem, the termination of the minimal model program with scaling and the existence of Mori fiber spaces.
