SRB measures for attractors with continuous invariant splittings (Q1706083): Difference between revisions

Let \(f\) be a diffeomorphism of class \(C^2\) of a compact smooth manifold and let \(K\) be an attractor of \(f\). The authors assume that on a neighborhood of \(K\) there exists a Hölder continuous \(Df\)-invariant splitting for which one of the subbundles has the nonuniform expanding property on a set of positive Lebesgue measure while the other subbundle admits nonpositive Lyapunov exponents on a total probability set. They show that \(f\) has an SRB measure supported on \(K\).
