A \([n,k,d]_q\) constant weight (or one-weight) code with parameters is a vector space \(C\) of codewords of length \(n\) all having weight fixed weight \(d\). This class of codes is very studied both in many different metrics due to their interesting properties that have also effect on some applications. In this paper, the authors characterize in the Hamming metric the one-weight group codes \(\mathbb{F}_qG\) when \(G\) is a finite abelian group, or when \(G\) is a cyclic group with \(n\) elements and \(\gcd(n,q)=1\). After that, using similar techniques, they also provide a construction of two-weight group codes.
