Several methods (like the Gauss-Newton method) used to solve inverse problems usually require the presence of a Jacobian, which is sometimes difficult to be used in computational approaches. The paper under review develops a different approach in order to increase the speed of the calculation of the Jacobian. This method combines the order reduction interpolation based on the Padé approximation with the method of rational Krylov subspaces. Several numerical results illustrate this method for the Jacobian calculation in inverse multi-frequency problem for Maxwell's equations.
