Singular symplectic spaces and holomorphic membranes (Q2087695): Difference between revisions

This paper is devoted to the study of symplectic manifolds, their Lagrangian submanifolds and the concept of holomorphic membranes. The authors construct a topological framework for degenerations of symplectic manifolds into singular spaces, where the study of the behavior of Lagrangian submanifolds and their (holomorphic) membranes is particularly interesting. Moreover, they show that degenerations into singular toric varieties provide a source of exotic Lagrangian tori.
