Strong asymptotic of Cauchy biorthogonal polynomials and orthogonal polynomials with varying measure (Q2108089): Difference between revisions

The paper investigates the strong asymptotic results of certain biorthogonal polynomials associated with the so-called Cauchy kernel, i.e. \(K(x,y)=(x-y)^{-1}\), and under the assumption that the two measures are supported on bounded nonintersecting intervals of the real line and satisfy the Szegö's condition. The proof of the main results is quite technical and is based on the fact that the biorthogonal polynomials are identified with certain Hermite-Padé polynomials which turn out to be orthogonal with respect to varying measures. Therefore, the paper extends Szegö's theory on the strong asymptotic of orthogonal polynomials supported on a bounded interval of the real line to the context of Cauchy biorthogonal polynomials.
