The very interesting paper under review deals with \(L^p\)-boundedness of the Riesz transform over Riemannian manifolds. Precisely, let \(M_0\) be a complete Riemannian manifold with Ricci curvature bounded from below and assume that \(M_0\) satisfies a Sobolev inequality of dimension \(\nu >3\). Let \(M\) be a complete Riemannian manifold isometric at infinity to \(M_0\) and let \(p\in (\nu/(\nu-1),\nu).\) It is proved that the boundedness of the Riesz transform in \(L^p(M_0)\) implies boundedness of the Riesz transform in \(L^p(M).\)
