The author establishes the meromorphic continuation and the functional equation for the Archimedean local integrals associated to \textit{D. Ginzburg}'s global integral [Invent. Math. 105, No. 3, 571--588 (1991; Zbl 0744.11027)] for the adjoint representation of \(\text{GL}_3\) (Theorems 1.6 and 1.7). For the proof of these results one uses asymptotic expansion of the Whittaker function (established by the author in Section 3). ``In a forthcoming paper [in progress] we will compute the corresponding local gamma factor [...] explicitly.''
