Using the Fourier analytic machinery for projections, developed in [\textit{A. Koldobsky} et al., Isr. J. Math. 139, 361--380 (2004; Zbl 1062.52002)], the author proves several stability and separation results for the projection function of an origin-symmetric convex body in \({\mathbb R}^n\). Furthermore, the maximum difference between the projection functions of a body in isotropic position up to a dilation and an origin-symmetric convex body, leads to a powerful hyperplane inequality in this context.
