The paper is related to the important problem of the motion of a rigid body in a viscous incompressible liquid. The roto-translation (with a constant velocity) is considered, for a steady flow. Some previous results are improved here, starting with the paper of \textit{R. B. Guenther} and \textit{E. A. Thomann} [J. Math. Fluid Mech. 8, No. 1, 77--98 (2006; Zbl 1125.35076)]. The main results concern the asymptotic profile of the gradient of the liquid velocity \(u\) and also the decay estimates of the second derivatives of \(u\). Very interesting estimates of some layer and volume potentials are obtained in section 4.
