Let \(\mathcal{G}(g,\Lambda)\) be a Gabor frame with \(g\) in Feichtinger's algebra \(S_0(\mathbb{R}^d)\) generated by time-frequency shifts from a lattice \(\Lambda\) in \(\mathbb{R}^{2d}\). The paper describes a method to compute the canonical dual Gabor atom via approximations given by finitely many time-frequency shifts of \(g\) from the adjoint lattice \(\Lambda^\circ\). The proofs rely on the theory of localized frames. The theoretical results are demonstrated on some examples.
