The author defines boundary conditions satisfying uniform Lopatinski conditions for a degenerate hyperbolic mixed problem to be an \(H^{\infty}\)-well posed mixed problem. The method is based on energy inequalities for such mixed problems, which are analogous to those in the non-degenerate case, except for having some degenerate orders. Main difference from the non-degenerate case is that the generalized pseudo- differential operators have to be used to get energy inequalities.
