The authors consider a random Schrödinger operator on a binary tree and with transversally periodic potentials, which are introduced to explain how fast transversal oscillations can generate an absolutely continuous spectrum in a strongly correlated model. The geometry of the problem can be defined by graph distances on a rooted regular tree (Bethe lattice). By using a technique based on fractional moment estimates, they prove the existence of pure point spectra at all energies. The authors claim that, as a new contribution, their paper introduces a new approach to dynamical systems.
