The authors discuss the stability of functional integral equations in the Fréchet space \(C(\Omega)\). They first define a family of measures of noncompactness and establish an abstract fixed point theorem of Darbo type in \(C(\Omega)\). As application, the authors present a theorem on existence of continuous solutions for the nonlinear functional integral equation discussed. Three examples of applications are given to illustrate the existence theorem for the abstract integral equation discussed.
