Let \(\|\cdot\|_p\) be the norm in the space \(L_p[-1,1]\), \(1\leq p\leq \infty\). For \(q\leq q'\) let \(P_{q,q'}\) be the set of polynomials of degree \(q'\) whose coefficients of the term \(x^q\) are equal to \(1\). Let \(E(q,q')=\inf_{h\in P_{q,q'}}\|h\|_p\). The set of polynomials from \(P_{q,q'}\) for which the lower bound is reached is denoted by \(H_{q,q'}\). The main purpose of this paper is to describe the sets \(H_{q,q+1}\) when \(p=1\) and \(p=\infty\). The following results are proved. For all \(q\geq 2\), and \(p=\infty\), \(H_{q,q+1}=\{T_q(x)\}\), where \(T_q(x)=2^{1-q}\cos(q\alpha)\), \(\cos(\alpha)=x\). However, \(H_{1,2}=\{x+\lambda(1-x^2)/2,\;|\lambda|\leq 1\}\). For all \(q\in \mathbb{N}\) and \(p=1\), it holds that \(H_{q,q+1}=\{(1+\lambda x)U_q(x),\;|\lambda|\leq 1\}\), where \(U_q(x)=2^{-q}\sin((q+1)\alpha)/\sin(\alpha)\), \(\cos(\alpha)=x\).
