Let \(\Delta(z)=\sum_{n=1}^\infty \tau(n)e^{2\pi i nz}\) be the modular discriminant function. Then the arithmetic function \(\tau(n)\) is called the Ramanujan \(\tau\)-function and the Ramanujan zeta function \(L(\Delta,s)=\sum_{n=1}^\infty \tau(n)/n^s\) is the Mellin transform of \(\Delta(z)\). For positive integers \(k\geq 12\), the author gives an integral representation of \(L(\Delta,k)\) by using some Eisenstein series. Furthermore, when \(k\) are \(12,13,14\) and \(15\), he gives an explicit integral representation of \(L(\Delta,k)\) with hypergeometric and algebraic functions. Particularly, these results show that \(L(\Delta,k) ~(k\geq 12)\) is a period defined by \textit{M. Kontsevich} and \textit{D. Zagier} [in: Mathematics unlimited ---2001 and beyond. Berlin: Springer, 771--808 (2001; Zbl 1039.11002)]. The results for the values \(L(\Delta,k)~ (1\leq k\leq 11)\) are given by Kontsevich and Zagier as examples of periods and also by the author in the introduction of this article in a slightly different form. | |||
