The author considers arrangements of codimension 1 submanifolds in a smooth manifold and focuses on a class of these arrangements which have desirable properties similar to the behavior of hyperplanes. Counting the number of regions formed in the complement of these submanifolds in the ambient smooth manifold is the motivation for this paper. The author is able to determine the number of regions combinatorially.
