The paper under review presents examples of commuting rank \(2\) self-adjoint differential operators of orders \(4\) and \(4g+2\) with trigonometric coefficients (\(g\) is a positive integer). The main results are as follows: {\parindent=8mm \begin{itemize}\item[(i)] The operator \(L_{4} =(\partial_{x}^{2} + {\frac{1}{4}}\alpha^{2}\cos^{2}(x) + \alpha\cos(x) + {\frac{(2g+1)^{2} - \alpha^{2}}{4}})^{2} - g(g+1)(\alpha^{2}\cos^{2}(x) + 2\alpha\cos(x))\), \(\alpha\neq 0\), commutes with some operator \(L_{4g+2}\) of order \(4g+2\). \item[(ii)] The operator \(L_{4}\) does not commute with an operator of odd order. \item[(iii)] The spectral curve of the operators \(L_{4}\) and \(L_{4g+2}\) is defined by the equation of the form \(F(z) = zA_{0}(z)^{2} + {\frac{1}{4}}((1-\alpha^{2} - 4g(g+1))A_{1}(z)^{2} + 4A_{2}(z)^{2} - 12A_{1}(z)A_{3}(z) + A_{0}(\alpha A_{1}(z) + (4g(g+1) - 3 -\alpha^{2})A_{2}(z) + 12A_{4}(z))\) with certain functions \(A_{i}(z)\) determined recursively. \end{itemize}}
