Multiple zeta-functions are defined by \[ \zeta(s_1, \cdots, s_m)=\sum_{0<n_1<\cdots<n_m}\frac{1}{n_1^{s_1}\cdots n_m^{s_m}}, \eqno(*) \] where \(s_1, \cdots, s_m\in \mathbb C\). When \(m=1\), \((*)\) is nothing but the classical Riemann zeta-function. In this paper, the author defines multiple Dedekind zeta values (MDZV), using a new type of iterated integrals, called integrals on a membrane. One should consider MDZV as a number theoretic generalization of Euler's multiple zeta values. Over imaginary quadratic fields MDZV capture, in particular, multiple Eisenstein series studied by \textit{H. Gangl} et al. [in: Automorphic forms and zeta functions. In memory of Tsuneo Arakawa. Proceedings of the conference, Rikkyo University, Tokyo, Japan, NJ: World Scientific. 71--106 (2006; Zbl 1122.11057)]. The author gives an analogue of multiple Eisenstein series over real quadratic field and an alternative definition of values of multiple Eisenstein-Kronecker series studied by \textit{A. B. Goncharov} [Prog. Math. 201, 361--392 (2001; Zbl 1042.11042)]. Each of them is a special case of multiple Dedekind zeta values. MDZV are interpolated into functions that the author calls multiple Dedekind zeta functions (MDZF). The author shows that MDZF have integral representation, can be written as infinite sum, and have analytic continuation, and computes explicitly the value of a multiple residue of certain MDZF over a quadratic number field at the point \((1, 1; 1, 1)\). Based on such computations, the author states two conjectures about MDZV.
