Summary: This paper is concerned with the existence and multiplicity to a \(p(x)\)-Kirchhoff type problem of the following form \[ \begin{cases} -M \left( \int_{\Omega}\frac{1}{p(x)}|\nabla u|^{p(x)}dx\right) \mathrm{div}(|\nabla u|^{p(x)-2}\nabla u) =f(x,u)\quad \text{in}\,\,\, \Omega \text{,}\\ u=0 \qquad \qquad \qquad \text{on}\,\,\, \partial \Omega\text{.} \end{cases} \] By means of a direct variational approach and the theory of the variable exponent Sobolev spaces, we establish conditions ensuring the existence and multiplicity of solutions for the problem.
