For a prime \(p\), a finite group \(G\) is of parabolic characteristic \(p\) if \(C_H(O_p(H))\leq O_p(H)\) for any \(p\)-local subgroup \(H\) of \(G\) where \(H\) contains a Sylow \(p\)-subgroup of \(G\).
