This article studies a symplectic manifold \(M\) with a Lagrangian submanifold \(L\), and an almost complex structure \(J\) tamed by the symplectic form. For a \(J\)-holomorphic curve on \(M\), it considers the gradient inequality which gives a pointwise bound in terms of its energy, and the cylinder inequality which stipulates and quantifies the exponential decay of energy along cylinders of small total energy. When \(M\) and \(L\) are not compact, the article establishes sufficient conditions for the above inequalities to hold, via some boundedness conditions.
