By using a \(\sigma\)-invariance to simplify the Krichever-Novikov system, the author constructs examples of commuting differential operators \(L_1\) and \(L_2\) of rank \(3\) with rational coefficients corresponding to a singular curve \(\widetilde{\Gamma}\), which is birationally equivalent to a smooth curve \(\Gamma\) of genus \(2\).
