    This article introduces a new type of Carleman estimate for the operator \(i\partial_t+\Delta\) which allows to prove a global unique continuation result for the Schrödinger equation \(i\partial_t \psi_t(x) = (-\Delta_x + V(x))\psi_t(x)\) including a time-independent potential \(V\) that is in the Fefferman-Phong class. Furthermore, it is discussed how the given Carleman-type estimate can be employed to discuss global unique continuation in a class of parabolic equations. The paper is well-written and the proofs appear to be carried out with great care.
