Verf. gibt einige Bemerkungen zum Buch \textit{V. Volterra}s, ``Theorie mathématique de la lutte pour la vie'' (1931; JFM 57.0466.*), die sich weniger auf den mathematischen als auf den biologischen Inhalt beziehen; Verf. zeigt, daß man z. T. mit geringeren biologischen Voraussetzungen auskommen kann, als \textit{Volterra} postuliert hat. (IV 9.)
