Let \(n\geq 3\) and \(\Sigma_{n-1}\) be the unit sphere of \(\mathbb{R}^n\) equipped with the normalized Lebesgue measure. Let \(f\in L^2(\Sigma_{n-1})\) and \[ f\sim \sum^\infty_{k=0} Y_k(f)(x)\tag{\(*\)} \] be the Fourier-Laplace series of \(f\), where \(Y_k\) is the projection operator from \(L^2(\Sigma_{n-1})\) to the space of all spherical harmonics of degree \(k\). Denote by \(\sigma^0_N(f)\) the \(N\)th partial sum of the series in \((*)\). Let \(\omega_s(f,t)\) be the integral modulus of continuity (in \(L^2\)) of \(f\in L^2(\Sigma_{n-1})\) of order \(s(>0)\). A function \(f\in L^2(\Sigma_{n-1})\) is said to satisfy the condition \((\{s,r\})\), where \(s> 0\) and \(r\in \mathbb{R}\), if \[ \int^1_0 {\omega_s(f, t)^2\over t}\log^r\Biggl({2\over t}\Biggr)\, dt<\infty. \] The main result can be formulated in the following Theorems 1 and 2. Let \(r\geq 0\). If there exists some \(s> 0\) such that \(f\) satisfies the condition \((\{s,r\})\), then the estimate \[ \sigma^0_N(f)(x)- f(x)= o(\log^{(1- r)/2}N),\quad N\to\infty, \] holds on \(\Sigma_{n-1}\) almost everywhere.
