The paper describes a method to discretize and linearize a continuous-time nonlinear dynamical systems. The discrete linear model is designed so as to minimize the deviation of the output time signal. Without an appropriate numerical illustration and/or publicly available implementations, it is impossible to judge on the relevance of a such a technique.
