Singularities of lightlike hypersurface in semi-Euclidean 4-space with index 2 (Q625957): Difference between revisions

The authors introduce the Lorentzian distance-square function whose discriminant is a given lightlike hypersurface. Using a result on the contact of submanifolds due to James Montaldi, the classification of the singularities of lightlike hypersurfaces is obtained.
