The factorization of the PRV determinant was used to prove the fundamental Verma module annihilator theorem of \(U_{q}({g})\) when \(g\) is a semisimple Lie algebra. In this paper, in order to extend the semisimple case to a quantum affine one, the authors study the quantum affine PRV determinant. The main result here is on a factorization of this determinant for the Borel case. This factorization has several important distinctions with the semisimple case, which are (1) infinite product; (2) the underlying simple module \(V\); (3) disappearance of imaginary roots; (4) the quantum ingredient. At the end, the authors study the case \(\dim{V_{0}}=1\) using this factorization, where \(V_{0}\) is the zero weight space of \(V\). Although the condition \(\dim{V_{0}}=1\) seems rather restrictive, some interesting examples are given in this paper.
