The author proves several modifications of the Leggett-Williams norm-type theorems for coincidences due to \textit{D. O'Regan} and \textit{M. Zima} [Arch. Math. 87, No. 3, 233--244 (2006; Zbl 1109.47051)]. Namely, the existence of positive solutions for the equation \(Mx=Nx\) is considered. Here, \(M\) is a continuous quasi-linear mapping and \(N\) is a nonlinear operator. An application of one of the coincidence results for a multi-point boundary value problem with a \(p\)-Laplacian is also given (Theorem 3.2). Reviewer's remarks. Since assumption (H2) of Theorem 3.2 cannot be fulfilled by any \(L^1\)-Carathéodory function, the given application is not correct. There are also a few misprints in the paper, in particular, in the definition of condensing mapping.
