The authors consider the unsteady flow and heat transfer in a channel, assuming that the channel walls to be oscillatory and stretchable. The fluid is assumed to be non-Newtonian with second grade viscoelastic effects. The aim of the work is to analyze the flow of blood in arteries where the surface velocity of the stretching walls is of oscillatory nature. The authors also investigate the effect of viscoelasticity of fluid on the heat transfer. In the study the authors observe that the flow reversal takes place in the core region of the channel and it can be strongly reduced by applying an external magnetic field of sufficient strength. It is claimed that their result agree well with those of earlier investigations. The paper is well written and may find several readers working in the area of blood flow in arteries.
