Let \(M\) be the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator. \textit{C. Fefferman} and \textit{E. M. Stein} [Am. J. Math. 93, 107--115 (1971; Zbl 0222.26019)] proved \[ \sup_{\lambda>0} \lambda w\{ x \in \mathbb{R}^n : Mf(x) > \lambda \} \leq C \int_{\mathbb{R}^n} | f(x) | Mw(x) dx, \] where \(w\) is a weight function. Assume that \(T\) is a Calderón-Zygmund operator. It was conjectured by Muckenhoupt and Wheeden that the following inequality holds, \[ \sup_{\lambda>0} \lambda w\{ x \in \mathbb{R}^n : | Tf(x) | > \lambda \} \leq C \int_{\mathbb{R}^n} | f(x) | Mw(x) dx. \] This problem is open even for the Hilbert transform. In this direction, \textit{C. Pérez} [J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 49, No. 2, 296--308 (1994; Zbl 0797.42010)] proved the following. \[ \sup_{\lambda>0} \lambda w\{ x \in \mathbb{R}^n : | Tf(x) | > \lambda \} \leq C \int_{\mathbb{R}^n} | f(x) | M^2 w(x) dx. \] The authors consider a somehow ``dual'' version of this problem, namely, \[ \sup_{\lambda>0} \lambda w \Big\{ x \in \mathbb{R}^n : \frac{| Tf(x) |}{Mw(x)} > \lambda \Big\} \leq C \int_{\mathbb{R}^n} | f(x) | dx, \] and obtain the following partial result. \[ \sup_{\lambda>0} \lambda w \Big\{ x \in \mathbb{R}^n : \frac{| Tf(x) |}{M^3 w(x)} > \lambda \Big\} \leq C \int_{\mathbb{R}^n} | f(x) | dx. \]
