Let \(H^\phi\) be the Hardy--Orlicz space generated by \(\phi\) and consider the composition operator \(C_\psi\) induced by an analytic self-map \(\psi\) on the unit disk \(\mathbb{D}\) of the complex plane. Then it is well-known that there exists an \(F\)-norm \(\|.\|_\phi\) on \(H^\phi\) such that \((H^\phi,\|.\|_\phi)\) is a complete Fréchet space. Also, let \(K^\phi\) be the largest linear subspace of \(H^\phi\). The main results of this paper are as follows: 1. For any \(f\in H^\phi\), \(\| C_\psi f\|_\phi\leq {1+|\psi(0)|\over 1-|\psi(0)|}\| f\|_\phi\). 2. The operator \(C_\psi\) is invertible on \(H^\phi\) if and only if \(\psi\) is invertible. 3. If \(C_\psi\) is a compact operator on \(K^\phi\), then \(\psi\) has at least one fixed point in \(\mathbb{D}\) and if \(z_0\) is a fixed point of \(\psi\), then \(\sigma(C_\psi)= \{0,1\}\cup \{\psi'(z_0)^k\}^\infty_{k= 1}\). 4. The operator \(C_\psi\) is Fredholrn on \(K^\phi\) if and only if \(\psi\) is invertible.
