This paper constructs integral (characteristic free) projective resolutions for a class of representations for the \(q\)-Schur algebra using techniques of multilinear algebra due to Hashimoto and Hayashi. The material is organized as follows. Section 1 consists of introductory material, including the definition of bannered partitions. Section 2 presents an axiomatic construction of projective modules involving mapping cones; the reader is referred to another of the author's papers for full details. Section 3 is devoted to a proof of the Pieri decomposition rule suitable for use in the quantum situation under study. In section 4, the author shows that a certain class of modules arising from Weyl modules associated to bannered partitions satisfies the axiomatic criteria of section 2. Note that the authors' names in reference [2] = [Duke Math. J. 61, No. 2, 655-677 (1990; Zbl 0713.17012)] have been badly misprinted. They are \textit{A. A. Beilinson}, \textit{G. Lusztig} and \textit{R. MacPherson}.
