Let \(GQ(s,t)\) be a generalized quadrangle of order \((s,t)\). Let \(\Gamma\) be the point-graph of \(GQ(s,t)\). Suppose that \(\Gamma\) is totally regular of parameters \((v,k,\lambda, \mu)\), where \(\mu\) is the number of vertices adjacent to each vertex of any given pair of vertices \(a\) and \(b\) at distance 2 in \(\Gamma\). The author proves that if \(\mathcal S\) is a triangular extension of \(GQ(s,t)\) and if \(\mu = 2st\), then \(s\) is even, \(\Gamma\) is an \(r\)-antipodal graph of diameter 3 with \(r=1+s/2\), and either \(s=2\) or \(t=s+2\).
