The author shows that if \(M\) is a given point in Euclidean \(3\)-space then there exists a polygon without self-intersection which does not contain \(M\), such that each vertex of this polygon is hidden behind an edge if viewed from \(M\). Moreover, as an application of this fact, a toric \(4\)-variety is constructed which possesses peculiar compactification properties.
