The Lie algebra associated with the space of configurations of \(n\) indistinguishable points in the plane such that no two coincide or differ by a Gaussian integer is described rather explicitly in alternative ways. One way is through the lower central series of the fundamental group of the space, another is via the integral homology of certain bouquets of circles, and a third is through the higher homotopy groups of the loop space of a closely related configuration space. The results are special cases of the first theorem in the paper which generalizes the consequences of the fibrations of configurations of points in Euclidean spaces.
