    A Banach space \(X\) is said to be primary (resp., prime) if, for any projection \(P\) on \(X\), \(PX\) or \((I-P)X\) (resp., \(PX\)) with \(\dim PX=\infty\) is isomorphic to \(X\). In [Isr.\ J.\ Math.\ 5, 153--156 (1967; Zbl 0153.44202)], \textit{J.\,Lindenstrauss} proved that \(l_{\infty}\) is prime. After that, \textit{M.\,Capon} [Proc.\ Lond.\ Math.\ Soc.\ 45, 113--130 (1982; Zbl 0486.46015)] showed that if \(X\) is a Banach space with a symmetric basis, then the infinite \(l_{\infty}\) sum \((X \oplus X \oplus X \oplus \dots)_{l_{\infty}}\) is primary. The main result of the paper under review gives a partial extension to the result of Capon. More precisely, it is proved that if \(X\) is a Banach space with a boundedly complete subsymmetric basis, then the infinite \(l_{\infty}\) sum \((X \oplus X \oplus X \oplus \dots)_{l_{\infty}}\) is also primary. The proof is inspired by some methods of \textit{J.\,Bourgain} [Isr.\ J.\ Math 45, 329--336 (1983; Zbl 0551.46031)] and \textit{G.\,Blower} [Bull.\ Lond.\ Math.\ Soc.\ 22, 176--182 (1990; Zbl 0664.46052)].
