Orthosymplectic algebras \(\hbox{osp}(2n/m)\) are an important class among the simple Lie superalgebras. Oscillator representations were constructed for \(\hbox{osp}(2n/m;\mathbb{R})\), and were shown to be super unitary [\textit{K. Nishiyama}, J. Algebra 129, 231-262 (1990; Zbl 0688.17002)]. Here certain super unitary representations of \(\hbox{osp}(2n/2m;\mathbb{R})\) are realized as induced representations from a parabolic subalgebra. These are called discrete series representations, and turn out to be super unitary lowest weight modules. Characters and super-characters can be calculated for these representations, and have a lot of similarity with Weyl's character formula. Finally, decompositions to the even part Lie algebra \(\hbox{so}(2n)\times \hbox{sp}(2m)\) are determined from these characters. The case of \(\hbox{osp}(2/2;\mathbb{R})\) is treated in more detail.
