A normal tiling T of the plane is called n-homeohedral (n-isohedral) if its tiles form n transitivity classes under the group of topological (resp. isometric) automorphisms of T. Answering a question from \textit{B. Grünbaum} and \textit{G. C. Shephard} [``Tilings and Patterns'' (1978; Zbl 0601.05001)] it is proved here that (1) for each natural number n, there exists only a finite number of topological types of normal n- homeohedral tilings, (2) every normal n-homeohedral tiling is homeomorphic to an n-isohedral tiling. The same results were obtained by \textit{A. W. H. Dress} and \textit{D. Huson} [Geom. Dedicata 24, 293-310 (1987; Zbl 0634.52011)]. The proofs given here are more elementary.
