It is proved that homotopy theories in additive categories induced by a cone or, dually, an arc functor are homotopy theories of Kan \(\Delta\)- abelian groups (A \(\Delta\)-abelian group is a semi-simplicial abelian group without degeneracy operators) in the sense that homotopy groups and exact sequences of homotopy groups coincide in both theories.
