For \(n>1\), let \(F: \mathbb{C}^n \to \mathbb{C}^n\) be defined by \(F(x)=\widehat x\), where \(\widehat x=(\widehat x_1,\dots ,\widehat x_n)\) and \(\widehat x_k\) is the \(k\)-th Newton' s mean. The chaotic dynamical system \(\{F^N\}\) is discussed. The main result in this paper is the following: For \(n >1\) there exists an invariant planar curve \(\Gamma\) which in the coordinates \(a_k=\frac {x_{k+1}}{x_{k+1}-x_k}, k=1,\dots ,n-1\), is an ellipse, where the dynamics is conjugate to the dynamics of \(z\to z^n\) on the unit circle.
