The authors extend some results about maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules (MCM modules) over a complete Cohen-Macaulay isolated singularity ring \(R\) to the case of deformations of such modules. In section 1 the authors prove the existence of a system of parameters \(x=(x_1,\dots, x_r)\) of \(R\) and of a bijection preserving indecomposability between isomorphism classes of modules deforming MCM \(R\)-modules over a Henselian local ring \(A\) onto the set of isomorphism classes of modules deforming over \(A\) a finitely generated \(R/(x)\)-module satisfying a certain property. The authors show by an example that the result is, unfortunately, valid only for isomorphisms of modules and not of deformations. In section 2 the authors extend Eisenbud's matrix factorization theorem [\textit{D. Eisenbud}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 260, 35-64 (1980; Zbl 0444.13006)] in the frame of deformations of MCM modules over hypersurfaces. In section 3 they extend, in the same context, Knörrer's periodicity theorem [\textit{H. Knörrer}, Invent. Math. 88, 153-164 (1987; Zbl 0617.14033)] and take the opportunity to give a complete proof of this theorem in characteristic 2. The main tool used by the authors is the Auslander-Ding-Solberg lifting theory [\textit{M. Auslander}, \textit{S. Ding} and \textit{Ø. Solberg}, Algebra 156, No. 2, 273-317 (1993; Zbl 0778.13007)].
