The authors consider the so-called Weyl-Marchaud derivative of order \(\alpha\) \((0< \alpha <1)\) for real- or complex-valued measurable functions on \(\mathbb{R}\). They introduce the left-sided and the right-sided Weyl-Marchaud fractional derivatives of order \(\alpha\) in the mean (with respect to the logarithmic measure) and compute these derivatives for the Weierstrass-type functions \[ W^\gamma_h (x)= \sum^\infty_{k=1} \lambda^{-k \gamma} h(\lambda^kx) \quad (\lambda= 2,3, \dots), \] where \(h:\mathbb{R} \to\mathbb{R}\) is a Hölder continuous function of order \(\beta\leq 1\) with Hölder constant \(H(h)\) and period 1, and \(\gamma\) \((0< \gamma <\beta)\) being the degree of differentiability. For integer-valued parameters \(\lambda\), they finally develop a numerical procedure for computing these derivatives which is also used to calculate some values.
