The purpose of this paper is to prove the invariance of the Gibbs measure under the flow for the periodic quartic generalized Korteweg-de Vries (gKdV) equation on \(\mathbb{T}\times\mathbb{R}\) \[ \begin{cases} \partial_tu+\partial_x^3u= \frac 14 \partial_x(u^4), \quad x\in \mathbb{T}, \quad t\in \mathbb{R},\\ u(x,0)=u_0(x), \end{cases} \] a canonical model for dispersive waves. The main theorem states that local solutions are extended to global solutions, using the idea of \textit{J. Bourgain} [Geom. Funct. Anal. 3, No. 2, 107--156 (1993; Zbl 0787.35097)], and these are globally wellposed almost surely in a certain Sobolev space. The proofs use randomized data, Lipshitz continuity, linear and nonlinear estimates, Cauchy sequences, Fourier transform, Cauchy-Schwarz, Hölder, and Minkowski inequalities.
