The author investigates some geometric properties of generalized Orlicz-Lorentz spaces \(\Lambda _{\varphi }.\) This paper is a continuation of previously initiated studies of the same author. These spaces are generalizations of classical Orlicz-Lorentz function spaces and the author in these studies examines the natural connections between these two classes. First, the author proves that the modular which generates the space is orthogonally subadditive. Next, he considers a natural so-called \( \Delta _{2}^{\Lambda }\) condition which has a crucial role in studying relationships between the modular and norm (which should be of independent interest). In the next section, the author studies monotonicity properties which are important tools in best dominated approximation problems in Banach lattices. In order to consider uniform monotonicity, the author introduces the notion of strong \(\Delta _{2}^{\Lambda }\) condition and the notion of regularity of a Musielak-Orlicz function. Finally, criteria for non-squareness are proved but under the general assumption that the function \( \varphi \) satisfies the \(\Delta _{2}^{\Lambda }\) condition. The proofs are technical and they require new techniques, also in the area of properties of nonincreasing rearrangements.
