Calderón's reproducing formula is a familiar and powerful tool for decomposing functions or distributions into sums of smooth, compactly supported functions that have some cancellation. The author [J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 16, No. 5, 768--785 (2010; Zbl 1204.42029)] considered the functions \[ f_{(A)}(x)=\int_A(f*\psi_y(t))\phi_y(x-t)\frac{dt\,dy}{y}, \] where \(A\subset {\mathbb R}^d\times(0,\infty)\) is a measurable set with compact closure strictly contained in \({\mathbb R}^{d+1}_{+}\), and proved that \(f_{(A_j)}\rightarrow f\) in \(L^p\) for very general sequences of sets \(\{A_j\},\) for all \(1<p<\infty,\) and for pairs \(\phi,\psi\) that satisfy weak regularity conditions. He also considered the rate of convergence. In this paper he proves that \(f_{(A)}\) converge in \(H^1\) (Hardy space) and weak-\(*\) in BMO.
